Biography

Along with fellow Surrey resident Jenna Randall, Olivia Allison recently found success at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India. There she won a silver medal in the duet routine despite performing with an underwater audio-speaker malfunction. This was a huge improvement on her fourth place ranking at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Olivia and Jenna also performed at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, speaking of her experience in China Olivia said “when watching the Chinese crowd erupt when their teams arrived gave even me butterflies, so to have the same for us will be really, really good. It was great to participate in 2008 and to know we had done a good swim and moved up the rankings”.

Along with her synchro team-mates, Olivia attends tough training sessions six days a week. Reflecting on the Commonwealth Games and looking ahead to London 2012, Olivia said, “it felt good to be on the podium at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, so hopefully there will be more”.
