Biography
At the age of 10 Liam was first introduced to the sport of Kayaking during a ‘holiday fun’ week at the Wey Kayak Club. Coming naturally to him, he chose to pursue this sport. Soon Liam competed internationally in junior then under-23’s competions. His passion for the sport was slightly put on hold during his studys at the University of Loughborough where he graduated with a degree in Industrial Design and Technology.
After graduating Liam returned to Wey Kayak Club and committed to full time training. In 2009 Liam began training as part of Team GB and entered his first senior season in 2010 competing in 200m K2. His first season as a senior kayaker was successful as he a number of medals in K2 events, this included him winning the European Championships with kayak partner Jon Schofield. Liam is currently training for future international events and is anticipating success at London 2012.
