Applications open for the Surrey Ambassadors volunteering scheme
The Olympic Games are coming to Surrey. With this we are calling on volunteers to be part of the excitment through a number of roles. From stewarding to working as a langauge translator, there are many exciting ways you can welcome the world to Surrey and be part of the greatest show on earth. 2012 P&G Surrey School Games to launch in January
The P&G Surrey School Games 2012 is now just a month away from launching on 20 January 2012. Twelve new sports have been added to the programme including archery, dodgeball and golf and it's not just sport that features in the 2012 programme. Art, creative writing, illustration and a 'Surrey Schools Have Talent' competition will provide the chance for young people with artistic talent to shine.

Pre-Games Training Camps update
Over the course of 2011 various Olympic and Paralympic teams have agreed to use Surrey’s excellent sports facilities in preparation for the London 2012 Games. In addition to this, 2012 is expected to be a busy year for Surrey as more foreign teams will potentially base themselves in Surrey prior to the Games.

As an exciting year draws to a close, Surrey is now looking ahead to a year when the county will welcome the world to the greatest show on earth. From the excitement of being a host county to the 2012 Games, to welcoming the Olympic Torch at locations across Surrey, there are a number of exciting events you can expect to see near you in 2012.
