Double silver for Surrey synchronised swimmer

Surrey's Jenna Randall celebrated early on the 7 October after winning the silver medal in solo women’s free routine at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India. Delighted with her achievement, Randall received a mark of 90.000 from the judges after performing to Evanescence’s ‘My Last Breath.’

Jenna is reported to be proud of this huge achievement after retaining her solo medal she won in the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

Duet silver medals

However celebrations and excitement heightened further after the Camberley resident achieved another silver medal in the duet routine along with partner Olivia Allison.

Despite not being able to prevent Canada from winning Gold medals, Jenna and Olivia still managed to achieve second place despite a technical malfunction. Part way through their routine, the underwater speaker stopped working, causing the duo to compete against the odds and complete the rest of the routine without music.

Improving on their forth place position in Melbourne four years ago, Jenna and Olivia scored a mark of 89.334 and won England’s first duet medal since the Manchester Games eight years ago.

After impressing crowds in Delhi, Jenna will now be one to watch for success on home soil at the London 2012 Games.
