2012 P&G Surrey School Games to launch in January
The P&G Surrey School Games 2012 will provide more opportunities than ever before for young people to represent their school in county competitions. Over 50 events will take place across a wide variety of sports including Football, Rugby, Archery and Dodgeball. There will also be specific and inclusive events for young people with disabilities, so something to entice all young people to get involved.
More than sport
The 2012 Surrey School Games is not just about sport either. Arts competitions, 'Surrey Schools Have Talent' and creative writing and illustration competitions will also take place, giving the chance for children with different skills and interests to take part too. The programme kicks off on Friday 20 January 2012 and will continue for '150 Days of Sport and Art', concluding with a grand finale event on Monday 18 June 2012.
London 2012 Inspire Mark
In 2011, the iconic finale of the Surrey School Games that saw the world record broken for the ‘largest human Olympic logo’ was awarded the London 2012 Inspire Mark. For 2012, the whole P&G Surrey School Games programme has been awarded the London 2012 inspire mark, the first and only School Games to be recognized in this fashion in the country to date.
