Surrey firms in 740 million pound Olympic and Paralympic contracts bonanza
Surrey businesses have won almost £740 million worth of Olympic and Paralympic contracts - about 90% of all those secured across the South East.

Road Race vantage point capacity increased
The London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) have announced that the spectator capacity has increased on the Zig-Zag Road incline and Donkey Green on Box Hill. This area is said to be the best vantage point to watch the Olympic Cycling Road Races this summer. The capacity has increased from 3,500 to 15,000.

Cycling festival announced for Surrey
A two-day festival of cycling has been announced to take part in London and parts of Surrey. The festival will occur in August 2013 and is expected to attract a large number of amateur cyclists taking part in events at the Olympic Park in London and Surrey.

2012 P&G Surrey School Games is off to a great start
The 2012 P&G Surrey School Games has officially started after a momentous opening event at the ACS International School in Cobham. Special guest appearances were made by Paralympic gold medallist Rachel Morris, Olympic hopeful Dave Daniell and London 2012 mascots Wenlock and Mandeville. Children's activity schemes awarded with the London 2012 Inspire Mark
Children across the county will be taking part in activities awarded with the London 2012 Inspire Mark.
A Communication Decathlon has been organised to develop our children's communication skills through Olympic and Paralympic Activities. In addition another scheme will be awarding children with passport stamps through participating in activities relating to the values of the London 2012 Games. Find out more:
