New stats reveal increase in cycling
Pedal power is gaining popularity in Surrey as new figures reveal the percentage of people cycling on a monthly basis has increased. Department for Transport stats have shown that 20% of Surrey folk ride a bike at least once a month – busting the national average of
15%.

Surrey will host the penultimate stage of this year’s Tour of Britain when the race sweeps the UK this September.

Ride London-Surrey 100 and Classic cycling events
The Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 and Classic routes were announced today (Thursday 7 February) by Surrey County Council Leader David Hodge, Mayor of London Boris Johnson and Olympic gold medal winner Laura Trott. It will form part of the biggest ever festival of cycling held in the UK with thousands of cyclists taking to the roads of both London and Surrey this summer. Read more.
